Androgynous Fashion

Androgynous what? In short this is a style of dressing that avoids gender stereotypes.

This is a topic that I do not know much of and I did not want to give MY take on it and possibly misinform readers or ramble just to upload content, which would be an injustice to such a relevant topic especially in 2018.

Instead, I decided to do a brief interview with someone who I think is so stunning and who always kills the fashion game and just so happens to know a dzyamn thing or two about pulling off androgynous looks!

Here are some of the questions that I asked Matthew Jacobs (@mattejacobs);

1. Why is androgynous dressing important and what does it mean to you?

"So androgyny is just a category I happen to fall under because I relate with being both feminine and somewhat masculine too but that is why it is important to ME because I identify with both sexes."

2. What are your KEY style tips to best pull off an androgynous look?

"My best tip to an androgynous look is wearing a key outfit piece that'is juxtaposed to the gender you identify with."

3. Who is your style inspo?

"I don't have a specific person I look up to but I'm just inspired by drag culture as a whole."

4. Advice for those who are not confident but want to explore the realm of androgynous fashion?

"If you genuinely identify with androgyny then you shouldn't be afraid of dressing the way you want because you're simply being yourself and people should accept that. No one should feel apologetic for being just being themselves."

I love that last sentence, no matter what it is. Always always be true to you.
